This queer high school drama coming of age story set to the music of early 2000s skate pop was my final set design at Wesleyan University. I worked closely with lighting designer, Nola Werlinich, to create a design that was able combine both lighting and scenic elements. The set consisted of two separate spaces - the home of the main characters and the school cafeteria. The cafeteria was also the setting in which the audience sat, consisting of glossy white benches and tables, with glowing painted acrylic tetrahedral lights overhead. These lights were mimicked in the home through triangular tinted lampshades. Using light to add color to the space created a glow to the entire performance.
