Today’s telephone is many things, yet it remains a rich site for intentional listening. I want to imagine what the telephone booth as an object - that has only recently left its commonplace status - could be when it returns. For now, I offer it as a space for story, to continue to be a site for reaching out, to be a place to give a moment, to listen, to speak as quietly or as loudly as you need.

While on display, new stories and new voices are be added to the phone. If you are unable to call in and hear the messages left by visitors to the booth. Visitors’ messages are archived and collaged in a continuous practice of this work, presented on site and on the phone.
